A Message From Our President

Welcome! My name is Jaylen Monroe, and I’m honored to serve as the 2025–2026 President of the Georgia Southern Chapter of NSBE (NSBE GSU). I’m currently a fourth-year Software Engineering student with a passion for growth, leadership, and making a lasting impact.

I first got involved with NSBE GSU during my second year as a general body member. In 2024–2025, I was excited to join the executive board as the Public Relations Chair. In the spring of 2025, I also served as the Professional Delegate, taking on dual roles that pushed me to grow not just professionally but personally. Through those experiences, I gained valuable skills in outreach, networking, securing funding, and collaborating with corporate partners. I also managed and expanded our social media platforms, designed flyers and presentations, and consistently stepped beyond my role to help our chapter succeed.

Now, as President, I’m committed to leading with intention and building on the foundation laid before me. This chapter has become more than just a professional organization to me because it feels like a family. I’m passionate about nurturing that culture and expanding opportunities so that every member feels the same sense of belonging. That’s why I’m proud to introduce this year’s theme: S.C.A.L.E. :
