A Message From Our President

Welcome! My name is Jaylen Monroe, and I’m honored to serve as the 2025–2026 President of the Georgia Southern Chapter of NSBE (NSBE GSU). I’m currently a fourth-year Software Engineering student with a passion for growth, leadership, and making a lasting impact.

I first got involved with NSBE GSU during my second year, shortly after the chapter was revived for the 2023–2024 school year. For the 2024–2025 school year, I was excited to join the executive board as the Public Relations Chair to give back. In the spring of 2025, I also took on the role of Professional Delegate, serving in dual capacities. These roles pushed me to grow beyond just professional development. I gained valuable experience in outreach, networking, securing funding, and coordinating with companies, skills that extended well beyond the professional scope. I also managed and expanded our social media platforms, designed flyers and presentations, and consistently went beyond my role to help our chapter succeed in every way I could.

Now, as President, I’m committed to leading with intention, purpose, and building on the foundation laid by the past two presidents. This chapter has become more than just a professional organization to me; it’s become a family. That's why I’m passionate about nurturing that culture and expanding the opportunities available to our members, so they too can feel like it’s a second family. That’s why I’m proud to introduce this year’s theme: S.C.A.L.E. :

S – Strengthen Community, C – Create Opportunities, A – Aspire Boldly, L – Lead with Vision, E – Elevate Everyone

I’m dedicated to the continued growth of our chapter and its members. So whether you're a student, former member, or potential corporate partner, I invite you to explore our site and discover how you can be part of the NSBE GSU family. Your support helps us expand our impact both on campus and in the Statesboro community. Always remember, together, we can make a difference.

Best regards,
Jaylen Monroe
